What We Believe or for church folk – Doctrinal statement of faith
The Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God. 2 Timothy 3:15-17
There is one God, eternally existing in three persons; The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:1; Mathew 28:18; John 10:30
that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, (John 10:33); that He was born of a virgin, (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23); lived a sinless life, provided for the atonement of our sins by His substitution death on the cross, (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26); was bodily resurrected by the power of the Holy Spirit, (John 11:25); ascended to the right hand of God the Father. (Mark 16:19)
That all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord, trusting Him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord. (John 3:16-19; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-10)
The present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16)
